Volunteering at MICAH House is a great way to support our mission in an actionable way. Volunteers have the opportunity to work alongside MICAH House staff to provide normalcy, routine, and structure for our children, women, and parents. TYPES OF VOLUNTEER JOBS

We have a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to choose from for individuals or small groups. All volunteers must begin their journey by filling out an application. Group leaders will fill out an application as the representative leader and spokesperson for their group.

  • KITCHEN Nutritious meals, food donations and cooking are essential to providing basic needs for our clients. There are a variety of options to suit you or your small group.

    • Meal Prep: Help our chefs prepare enough food for 80+ people per meal.

      • 2 hour shift; available for individuals or groups 2-4 people.

    • Serve & Clean: Help plate the meal and work with clients. Cleaning involves kitchen and cafeteria areas.

      • 2 hour shift; available for individuals or groups 2-4 people.

  • IN-KIND DONATIONS: MICAH House relies heavily on goods collected by community members and partners to help sustain our mission. These donations consist of mostly basic needs items such as food, toiletries, clothing, and cleaning products. If you are interested in hosting your own in-kind donation drive, click here.

    • Donation & Pantry: Help organize inventory and sort donations.

      • 2 hour shift; available for individuals or groups 2-5 people.

  • FAMILY SHELTER: The ground floor of MICAH House is where our families stay. There are a variety of ways to interact or help our families by cleaning and organizing.

    • Family Activities: Provide supplies to host a fun activity or help MICAH House for holiday events.

MICAH House allows volunteers age 16+ to be able to apply as an individual. Minors ages 16-17 must have parent permission on file. A volunteer may sign up for volunteer shifts if all requirements are met. Applicants who seek community service hours that are not court appointed, use this application form.

Most indoor volunteer job groups are limited to 2-5 people. There may be an option to schedule your group for different activities in the building at a given time. Note: Group leaders must be 18 years or older.
