MICAH House remains open.
We currently have approximately 100 individuals in shelter, including almost 50 children and 10 youth.
For families and women facing homelessness, MICAH House is helping some of the most vulnerable in our community. We are dedicated to providing a safe environment for everyone staying with us.
How can you help?
During this time of uncertainty, MICAH House will continue to serve some of the most vulnerable in our community. With schools and many businesses closed, families and individuals at MICAH House are relying on us for even more help and support. Now more than ever, we need your support to continue to provide shelter for families and individuals experiencing homelessness.
Our Response
Volunteers:
For the safety of our volunteers, we have suspended all volunteer opportunities at this time. We are so thankful for the amazing volunteers that donate their time and talents to MICAH House, and we look forward to having them back soon.
Safety Precautions:
From implementing new sanitizer stations, new cleaning routines, staggered lunch and dinner times, and reviewing our crisis communication plan -- we are taking all precautions necessary to protect our guests and staff members.
In-Kind Donations:
At this time, we are only accepting food, cleaning products, and paper products at our donation door. Please call 712-323-4416 for questions.
